My name is Jenny Hansen. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Family History and Genealogy.  In 1999 I received my Genealogy Accreditation® in Danish research. I also hold the credential of Accredited Genealogical Lecturer™.  I worked as an acquisitions genealogist for Ancestry.com, adding content to the site.  I currently work as a freelance researcher, and I especially enjoy teaching genealogy.  I currently serve as a commissioner for the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists.

Over the past few years I have become a popular speaker at regional and national conferences. I have an approachable and energetic style that connects well with attendees. My favorite conference of the moment is RootsTech.

My hobbies include reading, finding old churches and cemeteries, and doing anything outside with my family. I’m a wife and a mom to four children.
